Dinesh Karthik’s analysis of the probable composition of India’s squad for the third ODI has underscored the influence of recent injuries on team selection. According to Dinesh Karthik, the unavoidable changes are due to the fitness concerns of certain team members.

India has a 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series against the West Indies after two games. The championship game will be played at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh on Saturday, October 3. In order to achieve a clean sweep of the series, Shubman Gill, the captain of India, will have the option of either fielding a full-strength XI or resting key players.

The team must reevaluate its plans in light of Naman Dhir’s ankle injury.

Naman Dhir, who had made his ODI debut in the first game of the series, sustained an ankle injury during the second ODI. Dhir’s left ankle was twice twisted in a matter of seconds while bowling the first delivery of the 36th over. It was uncertain whether he would be able to participate in the third game as of October 1.

After Prasidh Krishna was declared ineligible, Anshul Kamboj was recruited.

Prasidh Krishna, the fast bowler, was unable to participate in the third ODI after sustaining a left hamstring injury during the second game in Guwahati. Anshul Kamboj was selected to replace Krishna and joined the Indian team in Chandigarh. The availability of these players will have a direct impact on the final starting lineup that will be used on Saturday.

In Dinesh Karthik’s opinion, India had numerous options for squad rotation subsequent to their series victory.

The team may opt to maintain their winning lineup in order to secure a 3-0 series victory, or they may decide to include players such as Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel to gain match experience. The final decision is made by the team management and commander Shubman Gill.
